She earned her Master of Education in Professional Counseling from William Paterson University in May 2025, with specializations in Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, Director of School Counseling, and Student Assistance Coordination (SAC). Jennifer demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting adolescents and families, emphasizing mental health, crisis intervention, and advocacy for children with special needs.
In addition to her professional expertise, Jennifer is a devoted wife and mother of two. Outside of her professional and family life, Jennifer enjoys staying active through boxing and outdoor activities. She loves spending time with her family, coaching cheerleading, and traveling—especially to their favorite destination, Disney, which they visit each year as a cherished family tradition. She is also an avid reader and animal lover, and her three dogs are rescues. Jennifer thrives in busy, meaningful environments. Her warmth, energy, and comprehensive experience make her a valued and dynamic asset to the team.
JENNIFER CEREZO’S APPROACH TO THERAPY
I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey built on trust, respect, and genuine connection. My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive space where clients feel safe to express themselves and work through life’s challenges at their own pace.
My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs. I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques, and strengths-based strategies. I work closely with my clients to help them build insight, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives.
I am fluent in Spanish and have extensive experience working with English Language Learners. This allows me to provide culturally responsive support and effectively bridge communication gaps, ensuring that all clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, school or family-related concerns, or just looking for extra support, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy, encouragement, and care. I believe in your ability to grow, heal, and move forward—and I’m honored to be part of that process with you.
