About Jessica Peacock:

Going into the social work field, I was grounded by my innate desire to connect, listen and support people, which continues to guide me in my daily practices.  I am humbled to share my experiences in supporting individuals, couples and families as it all begins with connection.  I come from the belief that the person entering therapy is the expert in their experience, emotions and struggles, and I have the privilege to join them on that journey.  This happens by putting our heads together to discover ways to better manage, thrive and develop the tools for holistic health.

My background working at the partial hospital and intensive outpatient levels of care as well as in higher education and private practice has allowed me to support individuals struggling with a spectrum of feelings, hardships and obstacles.  Whether you are reaching out due to feelings and life happenings that you are wanting to sift through,  building feelings of anxiety or thoughts of suicide, to struggling with infertility or a traumatic experience, I welcome you to reach out to see if we find connection in our chat.

On a personal note, as a mother of two little boys, I pull from my own struggles entering motherhood to empathize with the ups and downs life can throw our way amidst the beauty and joy.  When I am tuning into my littles or family to find pockets of peace and silliness, I enjoy venturing to a new cafe for a good cup of coffee, a live band, finding shady outdoor activities or trying my luck at a new hobby for ‘me time’.  ‘Me time ‘looks very different with young boys, and I am determined to find that fit! I would love to know your experience with this too if we connect!

Approach to therapy

I am a compassionate and ever learning clinician with expertise in providing short term crisis intervention and trauma informed therapy infused with skills and interventions from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy and Feminist Theory.
